It's that time of year again.... With Summer coming to a close, the school year is right around the corner leaving us with these bad boys on our mind.

So what's so great about them? Well, one is versatility. Two means quantity. And with three, you've got variety!

Our stacking school chairs are made out of wood (beechwood, plywood, teak) and tend to be extremely durable. They can be used for dining room seating, in the foyer, in the study, as side tables, in the children's room, etc. Possibilities are endless.

And with the arrival of the last container, our warehouse has suddenly been filled with hundreds of stacking school chairs. So make it your next assignment to find some nice additions to your dining room, living room, kitchen?

Seemingly being generally out of fashion after the boom of the 1960's and 1970's, West German pottery has been gaining massive popularity and a dedicated collector base that appreciates its style and eccentric aesthetic. Some of these ceramic pieces are hand-thrown while others are mass-produced stock shapes. Even stock shapes are made unique by the rough textures and the huge range of individual glazes. Size and shape can a petite three inches to well over a few feet tall for the larger floor vases. Factories that produced these ceramic pieces include Baykeramik, Carstens, Dumler & Breiden, Jopeko, Roth, Ruscha, and Scheurich. Many are only marked with a serial number and often with German or W. Vogue Features Brooklyn’s Newest Brewery, Grimm, Outfitted by Amsterdam Modern

Grimm Artisanal Ales Brewery ,  a sleek yet airy space on Metropolitan Avenue with sitting room for 45,  which opens June 30.  The Chairs are from (none other than) Amsterdam Modern . SAFARI

While the word Safari might normally conjure thoughts of wild animals and outdoor adventures, it has always brought to my mind two very sexy and classic chairs, often imitated and thoroughly gorgeous. The Safari Chair , a Kaare Klint designed easy chair, was created in collaboration with his pupil Edvard Kindt-Larsen in 1930 and manufactured by Rud Rasmussen, Denmark for Kaare Klint. The Sirocco easy chair by Arne Norell, was created circa 1960 and produced for Norell Mobel AB.     The most innovative design feature of this style chair is its collapsable nature. It can be disassembled and included on what I imagine to be the most well designed and modern safari trip ever. I would assume it is probably more at home in your living room than the savanna. We have a few Safari chairs available currently, check out this very unusual version with a rosewood frame with cow hide seat or this Klaare Klint original with black leather upholstery .
