Mixing & Matching! It gives you room to be more stylish and grab at a vintage chair you see at a flea market instead of giving it up because you don't know where it would go and if it would match your dining set. Or grab anything for that matter!

We love this look that we've put together (above) because it encapsulates a sort of industrial bohemian vibe that we love with the school chairs and the industrial work table. For a more classic look, two high back chairs at each end of a beautiful teak or glass table would do the trick. Mixing and matching seems to have the ability to combine both fun and easy....

Seemingly being generally out of fashion after the boom of the 1960's and 1970's, West German pottery has been gaining massive popularity and a dedicated collector base that appreciates its style and eccentric aesthetic. Vogue Features Brooklyn’s Newest Brewery, Grimm, Outfitted by Amsterdam Modern

Grimm Artisanal Ales Brewery ,  a sleek yet airy space on Metropolitan Avenue with sitting room for 45,  which opens June 30.  The Chairs are from (none other than) Amsterdam Modern . SAFARI

While the word Safari might normally conjure thoughts of wild animals and outdoor adventures, it has always brought to my mind two very sexy and classic chairs, often imitated and thoroughly gorgeous. The Safari Chair , a Kaare Klint designed easy chair, was created in collaboration with his pupil Edvard Kindt-Larsen in 1930 and manufactured by Rud Rasmussen, Denmark for Kaare Klint. The Sirocco easy chair by Arne Norell, was created circa 1960 and produced for Norell Mobel AB.     The most innovative design feature of this style chair is its collapsable nature. It can be disassembled and included on what I imagine to be the most well designed and modern safari trip ever. I would assume it is probably more at home in your living room than the savanna. We have a few Safari chairs available currently, check out this very unusual version with a rosewood frame with cow hide seat or this Klaare Klint original with black leather upholstery .
