AMSTERDAM MODERN

A couple weeks ago, we got to help lifestyle guru Emily Katz, author of Modern Macrame , deck out her book tour stop at Lightlab in Atwater Village.  She was going for a fuss-free, modern and of course - boho - brunch setting where she could showcase her macrame designs highlighted throughout the new book. Although the planning process was quick, we all rallied and the finished product turned out beautifully.  The space featured our Castelli Birch stacking chairs and these Marko industrial stacking tables . We are such a big fans of the sibling design duo, Leanne & Steve Ford. (You might have seen their work on HGTV's series Restored by The Fords.) We've worked with them for a long time, and it was so exciting to see some of our fave pieces she has bought over the years pop up in her house tour in the New York Times . Photos by Tessa Neustadt. Last weekend, we worked with The Gathery to furnish the epic  Girlboss  LA rally. There were 60+ speakers, including Gwyneth Paltrow ( Goop ), Jen Gotch ( ban.do ) and Sophia Amoruso (Girlboss Media), talking business, careers and womanhood! See photos for a glimpse of our furniture at Magic Box at The Reef in DTLA.  All pieces still available for sale here ! We have SO MANY industrial side tables that they're practically breaking the floor of our storage attic... I don't even know why they're still here to be honest, they're pretty awesome, and of course (as I say to everything) - versatile. No but seriously... check out the cute little vignettes we did with our industrial tables to demonstrate their many uses. Of course there are more than just three ways, but that's all we had time for in this post ;) So, without further ado, here are three awesome uses of the industrial mini-table. 1. In your foyer. Entry table anyone? Small is good for this actually, not many people (I'm assuming) have an actual real foyer with room for a large heavy wood circular table to just take up space in the middle of the floor. I could also be wrong about this. Also a link on our post to decorating the foyer ... Our industrial metal and linoleum top tables start at $425.  2. Kitchen Helper. Pretty self-explanatory. But a...

Thanks Emily!! We loved your post, and we love you too! Check it out here:

For some reason, this winter felt longer than last winter. We're lucky that we didn't get hit with the insane weather bombarding the East Coast (I mean when do we ever get insane weather or weather at all?), but somehow the record-breaking low temperatures around the rest of the US got us down too... (we're awful, right?) BUT that makes us even more excited that Spring has finally and officially decided to join us. Well, on the West Coast at least. West Coast=Best Coast. Feel free to debate me. We have a TON of West German Ceramics, large and small, and decided that now was the time to go to the flower market and fill these beautiful vases. We went a little crazy... "we" meaning me. That's probably about $80 worth of flowers/branches/thistles right there, which isn't bad considering we made all of these! (Below.. and more.) The LA flower market is crazy amazing and I spent about an hour wandering around looking at everything, and trust me, they hav...

It's that time of year again.... With Summer coming to a close, the school year is right around the corner leaving us with these bad boys on our mind. So what's so great about them? Well, one is versatility. Two means quantity. And with three, you've got variety! Our stacking school chairs are made out of wood (beechwood, plywood, teak) and tend to be extremely durable. They can be used for dining room seating, in the foyer, in the study, as side tables , in the children's room, etc. Possibilities are endless. And with the arrival of the last container, our warehouse has suddenly been filled with hundreds of stacking school chairs. So make it your next assignment to find some nice additions to your dining room, living room, kitchen? New Arrivals! And we're not the only ones who can rave about Amsterdam Modern's collection of school chairs! Take a look at what some of our clients have done with our inventory! We proudly took part in creat...
